Something new...

So my wittle babe has been out of the oven for two whole weeks now. She seems to be adapting to the world nicely. It feels like she has been here forever, sometimes I forget she is only 2 weeks old!

This is a picture of Aurora today at 2 weeks. ( I dropped my camera and broke it yesterday so for now on we will have to live with the camera phone pictures)
Rora is soooo teeenie weeenie she only has about 4 things that actually fit her right now. Most of them were passed down to me by my sister-in-law Jessica. Good thing she is around and has a little girl just 2 months older than Aurora so we get hand me downs almost every time we go to visit! Also she loves to shop, unlike me and finds me fun things at the thrift stores such as a brand new diaper bag for 2 dollars and I love it! It seems like she has two of everything and always give me one too. Love her! <3

On day 12 our good family friend Judy Petterson did a photo shoot for us that lasted a whole 4 hours! Baby girl didn't cooperate for most of the session but I hope we got a few goodies. Pictures are soon to come!

Unfortunately I have none of the pictures 0f Aurora's first few hours (They are on my mom's camera) but she was born at 7:04 AM 7lbs 7 oz and 19 3/4 inches and cute as a button.
She had a lot of trouble nursing for the first week mainly because my milk took a whole week to come in! Can you say annoying? But now baby is nursing as we speak and eating allll the time. I cant get anything done with this one attached to me! Despite the constant eating she is still the same size. No fat on her arms legs or tummy! only in the cheeks. I figured she would have a fat roll or two by now which is a little disappointing.

She seems to love being in her car seat which is really handy for me, she loves her pink bink and to have her hands on her face at all times, which results in lots of scratches :( She watches herself in the mirror while she takes a bath and cries when its time to get out. (Also handy that she loves bath time) She loves being able to visit Grandma and Grandpa every single day since she has been home from the hospital. She likes when I sing the Sesame Street song. Believe it or not but she already smiles at me and also when she is pooping, it's very cute I wish I was quick enough to get a picture of it. She has a freckle on her eyebrow just like her daddy. Other than that I have yet to find a birthmark. She has the cutest cry and sometimes sounds like a baby goat...o and she screams at me but its super cute.

Daisy dog doesn't pay too much attention to Rory which is nice because I don't have to fend her off of the baby and keep her from licking. But she DOES show signs of love by sniffing her and staring at whoever is holding her to make sure they are being nice. Someday they will be the best of friends
Although here it looks like daisy is growling and about to eat my baby, she really is very gentle and just happened to move while I took the picture.

Here are some pictures exclusive to the blog....so you can feel special no one else has seen them yet :)

Hopefully I will have the pictures from our photo shoot back soon, that will be the next blog.
Anyways..welcome to the world Aurora! we love you to pieces!

Blogidy blog

So...this is my baby room. Pictures taken with the cell phone so sorry if they are bad. It is quite cute in person.

This clearly, is her crib and cute paper lantern type things we found on sale at Joann's. They just so happen to be the right colors.

This shall be her changing/feeding area. We sprayed that little table and lamp white and covered the lamp shade with fabric. I painted that rocking chair white back in April when Brad got it for me for my birthday, it took a loooong time. The pink dresser was black and has been very versatile for me ever since I have been on my own. It still needs the handles put back on. right above the changing table is where I would like to put some sort of vinyl saying but I just cant think of the right thing to say. Maybe just a big Princess Aurora will do. We decided not to paint the room for now. It seemed like way too much work and mom and I have done our fair share of painting in the last few months.
This is a shot from the hallway. All i need is a wee baby to finish the room. And maybe some curtains.
